Allen Engineering suppressors are unique for two reasons: the reflex design and the brake & collar mounting system. Many people think the mounting system was designed to accommodate the reflex portion of the suppressor, but actually Phil designed the suppressors to be reflex to utilize the benefits of the brake & collar.
We have gotten a lot of people asking us when Allen Engineering will come out with an OTB mount.
There seems to be some confusion on
Brake & Collar Mount: This mounting system involves a muzzle device mounted to the end of the barrel and a collar mounted on the barrel. As the suppressor is threaded onto the muzzle device it pushes up against the collar. This gives the suppressor two separate points of contact on the barrel.
